About Betania

Betania Rodriguez is a Mexican-American harpist born and raised in San Diego, California. Her musical journey began at the age of six with piano lessons, and in 2011 she discovered her passion for the harp. She began studying under renowned Russian harpist Elena Mashkovtseva, widely recognized as one of the world's leading harpists.

From 2015 to 2018, Betania was the principal harpist with the San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory, where she performed in numerous concerts and was a featured artist at the organization’s annual Encore Gala Scholarship Fundraiser. In 2018, she earned first prize in the Rotary District 5340 Instrumental Music Competition.

Since 2017, Betania has provided live harp music for weddings and special events across California, known for creating elegant, memorable experiences through her performances. Her music brings a timeless, enchanting atmosphere to every occasion.

Beyond her musical talents, Betania holds a Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition from San Diego State University, where she is also currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences. She aspires to become a Registered Dietitian, combining her dedication to wellness with her passion for music.
